The sound of frying can be heard(cooking eg. Knife kethup etc.).Radio heard in background-”This is an urgent report-Psychotic convict Rauol Moat is again on the loose. Police confirmed today that he was last seen in the sheffield area.we strongly advize all(click as radio turned off )”

Trevor goes upstairs to toilet. Whilst on the toilet a banging is heard from downstairs. He goes and checks the door revealing nothing”,Door heard going shutting out all other noise...making way to the rush of wind etc.

as MC shuts door breathing can be heard behind him with the odd sharpening knife/pscho killer noise.

Trevor “shit!?...what the fuck was that?..Killer"Hello Trevor"(sinister voice). A scuffle is heard.Narrator"and that was it...Trevor was out the door faster than a premature ejaculation"

MC”For a second I stood there...frozen with fear.Then before I knew it I was halfway down the street, covering 20 feet a second...i was at fuckin warpspeed!”[Heartbeat heard pumping violently]

Trevor heard running down the street. Killers footsteps following him.

MC”Then next minute“[fall heard and scraping as MC slides to a halt].Narrator”Raoul casually walked towards MC's body,lifting him from the ground, his feet brely supporting himself”

Bongo drums heard getting faster (as is 'bongo scrape'). . Heartbeat gets faster. MC”I knew this was it...I almost sensed it in the air”

[gasp as MC stabbed]silence (MC in shock) before sound returns. Heartbeat is heard increasing then decreasing. MC heard “Well this is it...its not so bad actually...”

MC”There wasn't any pain...there wasnt even any panick...it sounds mad but I just felt...nice[euphoric noise introduced]...warm...pleasent...carefree...”

Narrator”MC was experiencing a huge coctail of endigenous drug release. This is how his body tried to cope with the stress of organ failure. Sadly however this was not enough.”

MC”Haha yeh man this was alright...i was sort of bobbing around in...this... warm endless void...i couldnt quite figure out which way was up or what was happening...then I saw the light”

MC”I began to float into the light...i controlled the pace of the flow however...i felt completely euphoric...pure bliss...”

“I was very much enjoying floating along this river when I seemed to become entagled in something almost mechanical..but it was living. A worry unknown to me began to rise...it wasn't of this world of bliss and peace...I was sure”

Beep of life support gradually gets louder. Sucking swooshing sound as MC sucked back into body before a *ping* marks his actuall return

MC”I dont know how I felt about being back...I can only describe it as that feeling when your back from holiday...relief but...i dont know...something was missing”

Sense of Space

In our final edit we decided to remove the narration from our work; originally a key component. I think this had positive effects on the final project although it did mean time was wasted patching over poor areas. If the project was planned better we could have re shot ounds needed and re-made thescript which was narrated poorly. A few stubborn effects remained in the final piece which i couldnt for the life of me find a way to remove. This effects the final piece greatly as does poor sound levels in two areas(door knocking and bins falling). I did enjoy the final piece however would have preffered to have created an alternative idea possibly exploring a more surreal area throughout rather than just a specific area. For future work of a similar style ill be sure to be completely drivin by an idea before choosing it for the final piece.

Sense of space

Whilst planning for the sense of space projects I hoped to initially create a musical piece however shyed away at the last minute, opting for a more straightforward project as soundtrack pro is hard to exactly match beats etc. I learnt alot regarding the soundtrack pro effects, and how their combined use can be succesful. (screenshots unavailable due to format). I perticular enjoyed the function of the reverb effects and how this can create a surreal, removed effect on the audience. For our final project i created a sound map and several lists to make the production of the project progress smoothly, which it did. This can be seen in the post above. Influence for this piece came from musical artists such as Bonobo and Tokimonsta as well as well as takling influences from the horror genre. I also wanted to add slight comedic elecments to the work however im not sure if this was apparent in the final piece. Overall i felt i fell slightly out of love with the project as it progressed, wishing i had instead chosen to make other initial ideas which were discarded.
